How do I pay for the service?
Can I set my budget?
Yes. You can set a daily budget limit for your targeted Online Video Advertising. This budget is a target range and the actual amount spent may be slightly over or under this target depending on how the ads are performing. We automatically optimize your video ad when it is running to get the best performance for your ad. While you may pay slightly more than your targeted budget on any given day, you will only pay for the ad performance you actually receive.
Will my budget always be spent? How does my budget relate to actual charges?
The budget you set is a target spend level. How much of your budget is spent depends on your targeting, available inventory and the how competitive the bidding is for that targeting. In some circumstances, you may spend a small amount over your budget because our networks were able to run your ad more frequently than expected. However, you will only pay for the ad performance you actually receive.
When is my credit card charged?
When you first publish a video with SpotMixer, we set an account billing threshold so your video can start running right away. You will be billed within 30-days or when you reach this billing threshold. The monthly fees are billed when your publish your video ad. Credit cards are not billed during a free trial period.
Is billing automatic?
Yes. Monthly charges are billed based upon the date that you first publish your video ad for online marketing. Budget-based video advertising is billed as charges accumulate based on a billing threshold level of $100 or 30 days, whichever comes first. You can view your account activity and billing history from the My Account page.
Is my credit card information secure?
Yes! Access to your data is limited to authorized SpotMixer staff and restricted by password protection mechanisms. We process all orders on a secure server that encrypts all financial information through Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). You'll know this security measure is working when you see either the symbol of an unbroken key or closed lock (depending on your browser) on the bottom of your browser window. We will not store your credit card information in our database unless you instruct us to or join as a member. Credit card numbers are used for processing payments only and for no other purposes. As part of real-time payment processing, our online transaction partner uses fraud management techniques. This service gives you and SpotMixer an extra level of security to guard against credit card fraud. For more information on our privacy and security policies, please visit our Privacy Policy page.
What are impressions?
An impression of your video ad is an opportunity for someone to view it. It does not count the actual views of the video. For example, if your video ad is embedded on a web page and that page is viewed, one impression would be counted. A video play is counted after the viewer clicks play on the video itself. For videos playing in pre-rolls (in stream videos which pay before other video content), the impression count and play count will be the same.
What is a play or video play?
A play is counted when the video in your embedded video ad or Video Web Page is viewed. The view count applies to a video ad. So, if you have the same video ad running in multiple published videos, the view count will be the total views across all published videos in which the video exists.
What is a click?
A click is counted when ever the URL associated with your video ad is clicked. This may be a click through from the Video Web Page or from your video ad running on other sites via your Online Video Advertising.
How is click through rate (CTR) calculated?
The click through rate, or CTR, is calculated by dividing the number of clicks in a particular time period by the number of impressions for that video ad. For example if a Video Web Page has 10,000 impressions and 210 clicks through to the associated URL, the CTR would be 2.1%
